Hello,
I am seeking an initial assessment for a UK spouse visa application for my wife.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi. I looking for advice for a friend. She is 67 years old and now retiring, and wants to return to Malaysia. She was married here, but has divorced several years ago. She has her own house in Malaysia hence the reason she needs to go home. She got a Malaysian passport last year when she went home for holiday, but I know Malaysia doesn’t allow dual passports. She is very worried about how she can get back home. Looking forward to your reply
I first came to the UK in 2006 on a student visa. Met my wife (also a Nigerian) in Manchester, got married and had a daughter in 2009. In 2010, I returned to Nigeria, my wife also returned in 2011, leaving my daughter with her mother (a British) in the UK. My daughter became a British citizen some year’s back.
In 2017, my wife returned to the UK with my 3 year old son and the pregnancy of my second son. After delivery, she applied for and got a leave to remain under the Family Life Visa which is renewable every 2.5 years.
I eventually returned to the UK in September 2020 through a Tier 4 student visa to study at the University of Bolton Manchester, after my visitor visa application was refused in 2019.
I now wish to settle down with my wife and three children in the UK.
Kindly advice me on the best visa route to pursue in order to settle with my family in the UK. Your candid advice will be highly appreciated.
S.O. Lal
I am currently in the UK with TIER 2 ICT visa and my visa ends on May-2022.
My wife and my child are here with me in the UK with PBS-dependent visas and their visa ends on the same date as mine May-2022.
Now I have been offered a new job by different employer under Skilled worker visa, so I need to switch from TIER 2 ICT to Skilled worker visa.
My question is, do my dependents need to apply along with me when I switch the visa (in June 2021), or they can continue in PBS until May-2022( When their visa ends) and apply just before May-2022.
Please could you advise me on what type of visa I can apply for. I am currently on a PBS teir 2 dependent visa for 5 month ( as my wife only had 5 months left on her tier 2 general work visa) which is about to expire and my wife has recently gotten an indefinite leave to remain via 10 years long residency route. What type of visa should I apply for? Would it be a PBS tier 2 dependent extension or a spouse visa ? Or any other type you could suggest please. Thank you
