- Application Date: When applying for the first grant of permission via an endorsement letter, the application must be submitted no more than three months after the endorsement letter’s issuance date.
- Endorsement or Prize Status: The endorsement letter or prestigious prize must not have been withdrawn or suspended at the time of the application.
- Points Requirement: Applicants must accumulate 70 points as per the points table outlined in the Immigration Rules for a successful Global Talent Visa application.
- Written Consent for Government or Scholarship Agency Awards: If the applicant has received an award within the past 12 months from a government or international scholarship agency covering both tuition and living costs for study in the UK, written consent from that agency or government must be provided.

- The applicant must be the direct recipient of the prize. Prizes awarded to organizations or groups with which the applicant is affiliated are not eligible.
- The prize must remain valid and not be revoked or suspended by the relevant awarding body.
For applicants relying on an endorsement to gain points, the following conditions must be fulfilled:
- The endorsement granted by the endorsing body must remain intact and not be withdrawn.
- The endorsing body must retain its approval status with the Home Office at the time of the application decision.
When these requirements are met, applicants will be awarded 70 points for their initial application on the Global Talent route.
Grant Period and Conditions
Permission will be granted for the requested duration, up to a maximum of 5 years for each application. There is no limit on the total duration of permission that can be granted under the Global Talent route.
The grant is subject to the following conditions:
- No access to public funds.
- Work, including self-employment and voluntary positions, is permitted, excluding employment as a professional sportsperson or sports coach.
- Study is permitted, subject to the conditions outlined in Appendix ATAS.
- If applicable, the applicant must register with the police, as per Part 10.
