Student Visa Applications
The Student Visa Applications UK pathway is available to individuals aged 16 and above who wish to pursue further or higher education, enroll in a pre-sessional English course, join a recognized foundation program, or take up the role of a Student Union Sabbatical Officer.
You may apply for a Student Visa UK if you plan to study an eligible course at a UK-based educational institution. This visa applies to students aged 16 and older, while a Child Student Visa is available for those under 18.
Individuals aged 16 or 17 who wish to study at an Independent School under a sponsor for a course at Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 3 or Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Level 6 or higher can apply under either the Student or Child Student category.
Student visa applications must comply with the requirements outlined in Appendix Student of the Immigration Rules. If you are applying from outside the UK, you must apply for entry clearance to study in the UK. If you are already in the UK, you may switch to or extend your student visa as needed.
