Extension Of BNO Visa UK
You can submit an application for the extension of your BNO visa from within the UK before your current visa expires, provided you hold BNO status. Those who initially applied for a 30-month BNO visa must apply for an extension to extend their stay for an additional 30 months, enabling them to complete the five-year residency requirement and qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) as a BNO status holder. Applications for the BNO visa extension must adhere to the guidelines outlined in Appendix Hong Kong British National (Overseas) of the Immigration Rules. It is important to note that the Home Office UKVI does not offer Priority or Super Priority Service options for BNO visa extension applications; therefore, all applications must be submitted through the standard service.

You have the option to apply for a BNO visa extension for either 30 months or 60 months. Upon completing five years of residency in the UK, you will be eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) as a BNO. After holding ILR for one year, you may then apply for British citizenship either through naturalisation or registration.
