Points for Extension Application on the Global Talent Route

Applicants seeking an extension on the Global Talent route must meet specific eligibility criteria. If you hold or previously held permission under this route, your extension application must satisfy the following conditions:

• • You must have earned income in the UK during your last grant of permission in:

• 1. • A field related to the subject of the prestigious prize listed in Appendix Global Talent: Prestigious Prizes, if your initial application was based on such an award.
     • The field in which you were endorsed if your initial application was based on an endorsement.

• Endorsement Requirements (if applicable):

• • Your endorsement letter, issued by a Home Office-approved endorsing body, must remain valid and must not have been withdrawn.
  • The endorsing body must still be approved by the Home Office at the time of decision.

Applicants meeting these requirements will be awarded 70 points for the Global Talent extension application.

Duration and Conditions of the Grant

Permission can be granted for up to 5 years per application, based on the duration requested by the applicant. There is no overall limit on the total length of permission that can be granted under the Global Talent route.

The permission will be subject to the following conditions:

• No access to public funds.
• Employment and Self-Employment Permitted, except for roles as a professional sportsperson or sports coach.
• Study is permitted, subject to the ATAS condition outlined in Appendix ATAS.
• If Part 10 applies, the applicant must register with the police.
