TYPES OF STATUS

There are two types i.e. Settled and Pre-Settled which are as follows:

• Settled Status is granted to individuals who have resided continuously in the UK for at least five years. This status confers indefinite leave to remain (ILR), allowing unrestricted living and working in the UK.
• Pre-Settled Status is designated for those who haven’t completed five continuous years of residency in the UK by the application deadline. Pre-settled status permits a stay of up to five years, after which individuals can apply for settled status.

• Not permitted to remain outside of the UK for extended periods without losing the status

• A valid travel document or passport
• Evidence of continuous residence in the UK, which may include utility bills, rental agreements, or employment records.

DURATION OF THE VISA

• Successful applicants can initially secure pre-settled status, allowing them to reside in the UK for a temporary period. After accumulating five years of continuous residence, they can apply for settled status, providing the opportunity for indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

• If an individualhad a serious medical condition or significant medical treatment and were unable to apply
