FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT
The financial requirement is that both you are your partner must have a combined income of £29,000. You may be exempt from the financial requirement if you are receiving state benefits or allowances. However, you will have to show that you have adequate maintenance which refers to having enough income to financial support you, your partner and/or any dependents.
ACCOMMODATION REQUIREMENT
The applicant must show that there will be adequate accommodation for all those who will be living in the house together. It should not be overcrowded or contravene any of the public health regulations.
DURATION OF THE VISA
- Upon successful approval of your UK Fiancé Visa application, you will initially receive a visa valid for 6 months.
- Following your wedding, you can apply to switch to the Spouse category within the UK without the need to depart.
- Upon successful application for further leave to remain as a Spouse, you will receive an extension for 30 months. Subsequently, you must extend your Spouse leave for an additional 30 months before its expiration.
- After completing 5 years in the UK as the Spouse of a British citizen or settled person, you become eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain.
